FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

July 1st, 2021. Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus and the Octave Day of St. John the Baptist.

The Coalition for Canceled Priests (CFCP) is pleased to announce that $18,795.26 in net ticket sales was raised this past Thursday, June 24th at the sold-out “Breaking The Silence” panel discussion held at The Carlisle in Lombard, IL in support of The Rev. James Parker and fellow canceled priests. Approximately 1,000 attendees were joined by over 2,000 viewers on livestream from around the world. The Coalition is leveraging additional donations received by the organization to present Fr. Parker with a check for a total of $20,000 to help offset his legal costs.

Fr. Parker is only the most recent example of Rockford Bishop David J. Malloy’s unrelenting crusade to cancel faithful priests who are steadfast in their loyalty to Church teaching. Within the past decade, multiple priests have been unjustly removed and warehoused without sufficient cause.

CFCP is a lay-led non-profit organization formed to combat this abuse of power by errant bishops and provide much needed financial support to innocent, faithful priestly servants of Holy Mother Church. Additional advocacy and assistance efforts are getting underway, building on the success of the sold-out launch event in Lombard.

CFCP co-founder Craig Holuj stated, “this contribution to Father Parker is a critical first step by The Coalition and our rapidly growing base of lay supporters who are praying, fasting, and providing financial and other material support. We are humbled to stand alongside a vast array of fellow faithful Catholics who realize the dire state of affairs and who wish to respond to the needs of such priests locally, and around the world. We wish to send a clear message: the CFCP is here to assist you in your time of need.”

The Coalition would like to thank His Excellency Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò and The Rev. James Altman for their leadership, endorsement, and support of our efforts.
